SEND Support - Holiday Programme

Job Description:

We are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our client’s Summer Holiday Programme team in Derby, UK. If you are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), we want to hear from you!

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support children and young people, including those with SEND, to participate fully in all activities. You will provide 1:1 or small group support where needed, assist programme leads with classroom management and behaviour support, and help create an inclusive and engaging environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

Support children with SEND to participate fully in all activities
Provide 1:1 or small group support where required
Assist programme leads with classroom management and behaviour support
Promote an inclusive, safe, and engaging environment for all participants
Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents/carers as needed

Requirements:

Experience working with children, especially those with SEND
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic setting
DBS Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Relevant SEND or Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
